Position Summary
Scalable Systems is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Pharmaceutical domain to join our team for a high-impact contract role in San Francisco, CA. This onsite position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience who can bridge the gap between complex pharmaceutical business needs and technical IT solutions. The focus of this role is on Pharma Commercial and Patient Services, requiring a candidate who understands the intricacies of patient journeys and the regulatory landscape governing the industry.
Core Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business and system requirements for Patient Services programs.
- Translate patient strategy into actionable Agile user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Map end-to-end patient journeys involving Healthcare Providers (HCPs), HUBs, and internal stakeholders.
- Support Patient Services programs including enrollment, benefits investigation, and prior authorization.
- Collaborate extensively with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Privacy teams to ensure compliance.
- Lead UAT planning, execution, and defect triage to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as enrollment conversion and time-to-therapy.
Technical and Domain Expertise
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
- Extensive experience in Pharma Commercial or Patient Services is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Patient Support Services and HUB operating models.
- Hands-on experience with copay, affordability, and patient adherence programs.
- Deep knowledge of pharma compliance requirements including HIPAA, GDPR, and AE reporting.
- Proficiency in Agile delivery environments, working closely with Scrum Masters and Tech Leads.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define success metrics for complex programs.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within the constraints of a highly regulated industry.

Pharma Domain restriction; Contract C2C; 100% Onsite in San Francisco; Requires HIPAA and GDPR compliance knowledge.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)
