Position Summary: Business Analyst (Aviation & Airline Industry)
We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with a specialized background in the airline industry to join our project team onsite in Miami, FL, or White Plains/NYC. This role is critical for bridging the gap between complex business needs and technical execution within a fast-paced, product-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge regarding aviation operations, passenger services, or flight logistics, combined with a mastery of modern software development methodologies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital products and ensuring they meet the rigorous standards of the airline sector.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams to define and document comprehensive business requirements.
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to extract actionable insights from subject matter experts in the airline domain.
- Translate high-level business goals into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications within an Agile framework.
- Support the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Scrum or SAFe methodologies, ensuring that product increments align with the strategic roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to refine the product backlog, prioritize features, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct gap analysis and process mapping to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and product enhancement.
- Assist in project management tasks, including risk identification, progress tracking, and the preparation of status reports for executive leadership.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, ensuring that delivered solutions meet the defined business needs and quality standards.
Technical and Domain Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a technical development environment, specifically focusing on product-centric delivery.
- Deep domain expertise in the aviation or airline industry, including familiarity with industry-specific systems and regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with developers, including APIs, database structures, and system integrations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise documentation.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse teams.
Work Environment and Location
This is a contract position requiring a consistent onsite presence at our offices in either Miami, FL, or the New York City area (White Plains/NYC). Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative, face-to-face environment to drive project success.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
