Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making initiatives for our clients, IBM and AT&T. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data visualization, analytics tools, and business intelligence platforms, along with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. This is a 12+ month contract role.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data visualization, analytics tools, and business intelligence platforms, along with the ability to work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from stakeholders.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, DAX, Tableau, and Cognos Studios.
- Perform data analysis and generate insights to support business decisions.
- Work with large datasets across multiple systems including data warehouses and cloud platforms, with experience in Azure Cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, data engineers, and project managers.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting solutions.
- Translate complex data findings into clear business insights.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and project lifecycle activities, utilizing JIRA and Confluence.
- Support data modeling and data warehousing initiatives.
- Assist in AI/ML-related data preparation and analysis tasks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, and Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with Cognos Studios.
- Proficiency in SQL and SQL Server.
- Experience working with Azure Cloud environments.
- Exposure to Databricks and Python (familiarity required).
- Experience with Figma for visualization or design collaboration.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience with SAP Hybris.
- Familiarity with R Studio.
- Strong understanding of databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts.
- Project management exposure is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
