Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Business Data Analyst to join our team in Warren, NJ. This onsite role is designed for a professional with a strong background in large-scale data applications and a deep understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. You will be responsible for supporting enterprise-level initiatives by performing detailed data analysis, profiling, and transformation to drive business value and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end data analysis, including profiling, validation, and transformation for large-scale integration projects.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive source-to-target data mapping (STTM) documentation based on complex business requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate functional needs into technical specifications.
- Partner with data engineers to implement and validate logic for data consolidation and standardization across heterogeneous sources.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure high performance and accuracy when handling massive datasets.
- Conduct data quality assessments and provide recommendations for data cleansing and enrichment strategies.
- Apply domain expertise in P&C Insurance (policy administration and claims lifecycle) to ensure data alignment with core business processes.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users to ensure successful data delivery and adoption.
- Create clear and concise technical and business artifacts to support project documentation requirements.
Technical Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, mapping, and transformation within enterprise environments.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including the use of analytical functions and query performance tuning.
- Proven track record of developing STTM documents and understanding ETL/data flow processes.
- Experience with data consolidation and standardization across diverse data platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex customer business needs.
Domain Expertise and Communication
- In-depth knowledge of the Property & Casualty Insurance industry, specifically regarding policy and claims data.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to present findings to senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting project priorities.
Work Environment
This position requires a 5-day onsite presence at our Warren, NJ facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in a collaborative, office-based environment to facilitate close coordination with the business and technical teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
