Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Objects Security Consultant to join our team. This role involves managing security for Business Objects, maintaining universes, and supporting reporting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and scripting skills, along with experience in Microsoft PowerPlatform.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Administration: Process security requests (new access, changes, deletions) for Business Objects, MIDB (Oracle), and CMOD. Monitor and manage security-related mailboxes. Maintain and enhance security form automation.
• Business Objects Support: Provide primary customer support for Business Objects report issues. Maintain and update IDT universes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Conduct BO health checks and produce reports. Perform report inventory cleanup.
• Data Operations and DevOps: Validate and balance HR data loads and associated reporting. Support DevOps activities including deployment, version control, configuration, and process automation. Develop and maintain SQL and batch scripts for data movement and auditing.
• Documentation and Process Management: Document system procedures, processes, and policies. Maintain and track tasks on the Master Calendar.
• PowerPlatform Development: Maintain and enhance Microsoft PowerPlatform solutions (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate). Support automation efforts to increase efficiency and data integration.
• Secondary Duties: Provide .NET development backup support for miscellaneous projects. Offer backup support for PowerPlatform applications and workflows.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of Business Objects security, universe design, and report deployment.
• Strong SQL and batch scripting skills.
• Ability to perform access management, security audits, and form processing.
• Experience with DevOps principles and deployment workflows.
• Experience maintaining Microsoft PowerPlatform solutions (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate).
• Ability to document processes clearly and accurately.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MIDB (Oracle), CMOD, and HR data environments.
• Experience supporting government or regulatory environments.
• Familiarity with .NET development and basic code maintenance.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
