Role Overview: Senior Business System Analyst (Annuities)
K&K Global Talent Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business System Analyst for a long-term contract position. This role is 100% remote and focuses on complex integration business analysis within the Individual Retirement and Annuities domain. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in application development environments, specifically focusing on product configuration and policy administration systems.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Requirements
- Lead business analysis efforts for complex integration projects within the Individual Retirement sector.
- Utilize deep domain expertise in Annuities, specifically with Alip Annuity systems, to drive product configuration and policy administration.
- Apply working knowledge of DTCC and ACORD industry standards to ensure data structure integrity and seamless system communication.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop practical solutions for intricate business problems.
- Participate in industry forums such as the Insurance Retirement Institute (IRI) Ops tech group and DTCC/I&RS advisory groups.
- Perform data analysis and system validation using SQL to support integration and configuration tasks.
- Document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows for policy admin system enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Business System Analyst in an IT application development environment.
- Primary expertise must be in the Annuities domain (Alip Annuity); candidates with only life insurance or healthcare experience will not be considered.
- Hands-on experience with DTCC data structures and ACORD industry standards is mandatory.
- Proven track record of working with Policy Admin Systems and product configuration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis is highly preferred.
Project Environment
This is a critical, long-term contract engagement supporting a major financial services client. The project involves high-volume integration and modernization of retirement product systems. Candidates must be self-motivated, capable of working in a fully remote capacity, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Special Requirements
Domain restriction: Annuities (Alip Annuity) primary experience required. No life insurance or health care as primary. DTCC and ACORD standards required. Long Term Contract.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
