Job Description: Business Systems Analyst (Pharma Commercial Patient Services)

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst with 7+ years of experience, specializing in Pharma Commercial or Patient Services. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between business, IT, and vendors to deliver robust Patient Services capabilities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in patient onboarding, benefits investigation, adherence, and patient support programs, with a strong understanding of Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Veeva CRM, and patient HUB systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for Patient Services programs, including:
    • Patient onboarding and enrollment workflows
    • Benefits investigation and prior authorization processes
    • Copay and affordability programs
    • Patient adherence and persistence initiatives
    • Ongoing patient support services
  • Translate patient strategy into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Map end-to-end patient journeys across HCP, patient, HUB, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with Scrum Master and Technical Lead to support Agile delivery.
  • Collaborate with Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Privacy teams to ensure compliance (GDPR/HIPAA, consent, AE reporting).
  • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage for patient services solutions.
  • Assist in defining KPIs and success metrics (enrollment conversion, adherence, time-to-therapy).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a BSA / Business Analyst in pharma commercial or patient services.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Patient Services, including:
    • Patient onboarding
    • Benefits investigation
    • Patient adherence programs
    • Patient support services / HUB models
  • Experience writing detailed functional requirements and Agile user stories.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with business, IT, and vendors.
  • Platforms: Salesforce Health Cloud / ServiceCloud, Veeva CRM, patient HUB systems.
  • Understanding of access and reimbursement processes.
  • Experience with omnichannel patient engagement is a plus.

This is a C2C contract position with a rate of $80/hr, located in San Francisco, CA. Visa sponsorship for H1B is available.

Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
