Job Summary:
Visionaryz Management Team is urgently seeking a Certified Oracle Database Administrator for a replacement role at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). This is a 5-day onsite position in Lower Manhattan, NY, requiring extensive experience in Oracle database management, cloud migrations, and high availability solutions. The role involves 24×7 production support for mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oracle installation/migration (on-prem to OCI/GCP).
- GoldenGate 19c bi-directional replication (DDL/DML, zero/low-downtime cutovers).
- Performance tuning using AWR/ADDM/OEM.
- Managing RAC/DataGuard high availability.
- RMAN backups/recovery.
- Exadata operations.
- Linux/Solaris shell automation.
- 24×7 production support for mission-critical systems in Oracle Cloud and on-prem.
- Design and implementation of Oracle Cloud networking, IAM, and GoldenGate Hub deployments.
- Data center and cross-region migrations (on-prem to OCI).
Mandatory Skills:
- Oracle 9i-19c, RAC, ASM, GoldenGate (unidirectional/bi-directional, integrated capture/replicat), DataGuard switchover/failover.
- RMAN/DataPump, TDE encryption, cloud migrations (OCI/GCP), MongoDB/PostgreSQL.
- Linux/Solaris shell scripting, OEM monitoring, SQL tuning (EXPLAIN PLAN, SQL profiles, baselines).
- Backup/recovery strategies, patch management, user/role security, GoldenGate monitoring and troubleshooting on OCI.
Desirable Skills:
- Veritas, XTTS migrations, Python automation, Exadata, people management.
- APEX upgrades, CyberArk, Datadog/Iris monitoring.
Certifications:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Oracle Database.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional (preferred).
- Oracle GoldenGate 19c Certified Implementation Specialist (preferred).
- Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional (19c or later) (preferred).
Experience Requirements:
More than 12+ years in financial services domains or City or Housing Authorities.
