Job Role: CICS Systems Programmer
We are looking for an experienced CICS Systems Programmer for a remote contract position. This role is critical for supporting high-volume, low-latency financial transaction systems within large enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as a CICS Systems Programmer in large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in CICS TS 4.x/5.x, CPSM, RDO, and CICS configuration.
- Advanced knowledge of z/OS, SDSF, TSO/ISPF, JCL, VSAM, DB2, MQ, and SMP/E.
- Experience troubleshooting complex transaction failures and system outages.
- Strong understanding of security controls and regulatory frameworks in Financial Services.
- Proven experience supporting high-volume, low-latency financial transaction systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CICS Transaction Gateway, API enablement, or RESTful web services on z/OS.
- Familiarity with automation tools (OPS/MVS, BMC, CA tools).
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and modern CI/CD for mainframe (Git, UrbanCode Deploy, ISPW).
- Experience with z/OS Connect EE is a strong plus.
- Banking or financial services background highly preferred.
This is a remote contract position.
