Job Overview
Our client in Downtown Houston is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for a 6+ month contract role. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for Utility/Construction based projects. The engineer will apply engineering principles, conduct analysis, and support project execution across various disciplines. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline.

Required Experience
- 5 years’ experience in utility design or related project construction design.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Public Utility experience.
- Experience with meter capacity and regulatory experience.
- Design experience related to construction.
- Civil Engineer experience.
Education
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering.
Work Arrangement
4 day on-site requirement, potential for remote Fridays.
Special Requirements
Visa: Any, Interview Mode: Skype, Screening: PE License is required
Compensation & Location
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
