Job Description: Cloud Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Architect with a strong background in the Energy & Utilities domain to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, system integration, and enterprise architecture principles. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect solutions involving REST/SOAP APIs, ESB, Microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Define data integration, event-driven architectures, and API strategies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
  • Lead design reviews and governance forums, providing technical leadership to development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with energy regulatory requirements, implementing data privacy and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Define audit, logging, and monitoring strategies.
  • Provide expertise in Customer onboarding & service requests, Meter-to-cash process, Billing & invoicing, Tariff & rate configuration, Credit & collections, and Regulatory compliance.
  • Understand electricity, gas, or water utility operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years in Architecture roles.
  • Strong experience in Energy & Utilities domain.
  • Experience in system integration and enterprise architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of API design and cloud-native architectures.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with digital transformation programs.
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in large-scale utility modernization programs.

3 days onsite in San Roman, CA

Compensation & Location

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
