Job Summary: Cloud & Data Architect
We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Data Architect to lead architectural strategy and implementation across enterprise cloud and data platforms. This role requires deep expertise in AWS/Azure, enterprise data ecosystems, and modern cloud-native design, including microservices and MLOps frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology teams for cloud adoption and architecture decisions.
- Define and deliver cloud migration strategies and AWS adoption roadmaps.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
- Develop application, data, and deployment architectures.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Governance teams to ensure secure solutions.
- Lead architecture for microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Drive enterprise data platform design including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (Masters preferred).
- 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years as a Cloud/Solution Architect (AWS or Azure).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred).
- AWS or Azure Architect Certification required (Professional preferred).
- Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.
Technical Skills:
Cloud & Data Architecture
- Enterprise data platforms: Data Lakes, Warehouses, Data Marts.
- Real-time/streaming technologies.
- Databases: relational & NoSQL.
- Programming: Python or Java.
- Distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
MLOps & Machine Learning
- End-to-end ML lifecycle design & automation.
- Model governance: lineage, explainability, validation.
- ML pipelines with CI/CD integration.
- Model monitoring: drift detection, performance tracking.
- Tools: SageMaker, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket.
Microservices & Cloud-Native Engineering
- Container orchestration: EKS, ECS, Fargate.
- Serverless: Lambda, Step Functions.
- Event-driven architecture: Kinesis, SNS/SQS, EventBridge.
- Service mesh & observability (App Mesh, OpenTelemetry).
AWS Expertise
- Services: S3, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
- Infrastructure: VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, multi-account strategy.
- Security-first architecture design.
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks.
DevOps & Tools
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket.
- Containers: Docker.
- Infrastructure automation.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication & stakeholder management.
- Ability to simplify complex architecture concepts.
- Experience creating architecture diagrams & documentation.
- Strategic thinking and roadmap planning.
Nice to Have:
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- CISSP or equivalent security certification.
- Experience with Domino Data Labs.
