Opportunity: Cloud Database Administrator (GCP/MySQL/Cassandra)
Livemindz is seeking a highly skilled Cloud DBA to join our dynamic team for a long-term engagement supporting enterprise-level cloud database environments. This role is pivotal for our operations in Scottsdale, AZ, and Dallas, TX, offering a hybrid work model that balances collaborative in-office sessions with remote flexibility. As a Cloud DBA in 2026, you will manage increasingly complex data ecosystems that demand high performance and absolute reliability.
Core Technical Responsibilities
- Multi-Platform Administration: You will provide expert administration for Postgres, MySQL, and Cassandra databases. This includes managing the full lifecycle from design and deployment to maintenance and decommissioning.
- Performance Optimization: A primary focus of this role is performance tuning at the application, database, and system levels. You will identify bottlenecks in complex production systems and implement sophisticated tuning strategies to ensure optimal throughput.
- High Availability and Clustering: You will design and support high availability (HA) features, including complex clustering and replication setups. Ensuring that data remains accessible and consistent across distributed cloud regions is a core requirement.
- Disaster Recovery (DR): You will lead the design and implementation of DR strategies tailored to meet specific business recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO).
- GCP Ecosystem Management: Leveraging Google Cloud Platform tools, you will automate database tasks, monitor health metrics, and manage cloud-native database services to drive operational efficiency.
Professional Requirements
- Experience: At least 5+ years of dedicated experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on the specified technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra).
- Contractual Terms: This is a C2C (Corp-to-Corp) position with a VMS structure. The initial contract length is one year, with a high probability of annual renewals based on performance.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Candidates must be located near or willing to commute to Scottsdale, AZ or Dallas, TX for hybrid work requirements.

Compensation & Location
