About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps / Cloud Cost Management Engineer to join our team. This role requires strong expertise in cloud cost optimization, analytics, and financial governance across major cloud platforms. You will be instrumental in driving cost-efficiency and providing insights into cloud spending.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies across AWS and Azure.
  • Develop and maintain cloud cost analytics and forecasting models.
  • Establish and enforce cloud cost allocation and tagging governance policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor cloud spending and provide regular reports on cost performance.
  • Utilize Databricks and Apache Spark for data analysis related to cloud costs.
  • Leverage SQL and Python for data analysis and automation of cost management tasks.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization and identify underutilized or over-provisioned cloud resources.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in FinOps and cloud cost management.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in Cloud Cost Management / FinOps.
  • Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cost management tools and services.
  • Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark for data processing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Cost Analytics & Forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability in Cloud Cost Optimization Strategies.
  • Experience with Cost Allocation & Tagging Governance.
  • Skilled in SQL and Python for data analysis and scripting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or similar role.
