Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cloud Lead & Data Center SME with over 10 years of leadership experience to join our team. This is a long-term, onsite position requiring local candidates in Culver City, CA. The ideal candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud) and on-premises data center technologies. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing cloud and data center strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud) and on-premises data center technologies.
- Define and implement cloud and data center strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive innovation in infrastructure design, deployment, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Provide technical guidance on architecture, deployment, and operational best practices.
- Lead complex troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning initiatives.
- Oversee day-to-day data center operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and incident management.
- Ensure robust high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for critical infrastructure components.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Employ scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including networking, storage, virtualization, compute, and server infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration, integration, and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Expertise in disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with edge computing or hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
Leadership and Soft Skills:
- Proven leadership experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.
- Ability to define and execute infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders on technical decisions.
- Experience managing large-scale cloud and data center infrastructure.
- Knowledge of ITIL, operational best practices, incident, and problem management processes.
- Awareness of compliance, regulatory, and security standards (ISO, SOC, GDPR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with architects, project managers, and vendors.
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including budgeting and resource planning.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies as applied to infrastructure teams.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of experience in leadership roles specializing in Cloud and Data Center technologies.
- Must be local to the Culver City, CA area.
- Long-term engagement.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120 – $160 per year (Estimated)
