Job Title: Cloud Security Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Security Architect with 12+ years of experience to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a long-term, hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure cloud-native architectures, with a preference for AWS.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture principles.
• Perform threat modeling for complex systems.
• Secure microservices, APIs, and containerized environments.
• Configure and manage cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools.
• Integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines.
• Develop data protection strategies for PII, PHI, and sensitive data.
• Present risk assessments to executive leadership.
• Draft enterprise security policies and architecture standards.
• Familiarity with securing AI/LLM-based systems and data pipelines is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in information security and systems architecture.
• Proven experience designing secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53.
• Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Experience performing threat modeling for complex systems.
• Experience securing microservices, APIs, and containerized environments.
• Experience configuring cloud security posture management (CSPM) tools.
• Experience integrating security into DevSecOps pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with securing AI/LLM-based systems and data pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with data protection strategies for PII, PHI, and sensitive data.
• 4+ years of experience presenting risk assessments to executive leadership.
• 4+ years of experience drafting enterprise security policies and architecture standards.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Engineer.

This role requires candidates who are local to the Austin, TX area.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
