About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to join our team at Center Point Energy in Houston, TX. This role requires a strong background in utility design and construction, with a focus on ensuring projects meet specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineer License and experience with SAP and GIS.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop systems, components, or processes based on project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct testing, analysis, and evaluations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings to communicate engineering concepts.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
- SAP
- GIS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and data.

Education:
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil.
Required Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in utility design or related project construction design.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Public Utility experience.
- Experience with meter capacity and regulatory experience.
- Design experience related to construction.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
