Job Title: Cybersecurity Project Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to partner with our Program Lead in driving the delivery of high-stakes security initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional adept at managing complex projects within a matrix environment, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile frameworks. The ideal candidate will manage the full Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), from intake and design through testing and operational transition, to achieve measurable business objectives. This is a critical role that demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead the initiation, planning, design, and execution of moderate to large-scale Cybersecurity projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Governance & Compliance: Adhere to strict project management standards. Manage Change Control processes, project budgets, and provide regular status reporting to executive stakeholders.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Collaborate effectively with technical leads, business stakeholders, and external vendors to align expectations, define deliverables, and ensure Requirements Traceability.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints. Oversee Organizational Change Management (OCM) to ensure effective solution adoption and minimize disruption.
- Technical Oversight: Translate cybersecurity roadmaps into actionable project plans. Ensure high-quality execution of Testing, Cutover, and Run Plan activities, working closely with technical teams.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16+ years of professional experience, with a significant focus on Cybersecurity Project Delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects within Matrixed or Co-sourced environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong background in Cybersecurity Standards, Frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and Best Practices.
- Certifications such as PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, or SDLC are highly desirable.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Industry experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is a plus.
- Advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Masters Degree in a technical or business field.
- Hands-on experience with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
- Experience with Vendor Management and Requirements Traceability.
Special Requirements:
- Candidate must reside in the Tristate area (NY/NJ/CT) to support a Hybrid schedule (1-2 days onsite per week).
- A Valid Driver’s License is required.
