Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant for a critical onsite engagement in Phoenix, Arizona. As a senior-level consultant with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and support of complex supply chain processes within the D365 ecosystem. This role requires a deep understanding of how global supply chains operate and how to translate those business needs into robust technical configurations within the Microsoft Dynamics platform.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Expertise
The successful candidate must demonstrate mastery across a wide array of D365 F&O modules. Your primary focus will be on Product Information Management, Procurement & Sourcing, and Sales & Marketing. You will be expected to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of inventory, from initial procurement through to final sales delivery. A significant portion of this role involves deep-dive expertise in Inventory Management and Warehouse Management (WMS), ensuring that stock levels are optimized and warehouse operations are streamlined for maximum efficiency.
Furthermore, you will serve as the subject matter expert for Production Control and Master Planning. You must be able to consult clients on sophisticated supply chain related processes, utilizing the standard system features while identifying where custom enhancements (CRs) are necessary. Your ability to analyze and optimize existing business processes through system parameter setups will be vital to the project’s success. You will be tasked with designing business processes and documenting them meticulously according to client requirements, ensuring that every step of the ‘Procure to Pay’ and ‘Order to Cash’ cycles is accounted for.
Strategic Consulting and Training
Beyond technical configuration, this role demands high-level business acumen. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their current supply chain challenges and provide strategic recommendations. This includes handling inventory counting, adjustments, quarantine procedures, and quality order processes. You will also be responsible for writing detailed functional specifications and creating comprehensive training materials. Leading training sessions for business end-users is a core component of this position, requiring you to simplify complex system navigation and advanced topics into digestible learning modules. You will also be responsible for preparing, documenting, and executing test cases for end-to-end business scenarios to ensure high-quality delivery.
Communication and Collaboration
Strong communication skills are non-negotiable. You will act as the bridge between technical teams and business leaders, requiring excellent presentation and documentation skills. You must be a collaborative team player, working alongside other consultants and developers to ensure that the delivered solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Time management and analytical thinking will be your daily tools as you navigate the fast-paced environment of a major onsite implementation in Phoenix.
