Role Overview: Data Analyst (AWS Quicksight)
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst specializing in AWS Quicksight to join our premier client’s team in Mountain View, CA. This hybrid role requires a mandatory onsite presence three days per week, offering a dynamic environment where data-driven insights directly impact enterprise security and risk management. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background in SQL, ETL processes, and AWS cloud services, specifically focused on building scalable data pipelines and sophisticated visualization dashboards.
Core Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Policy Performance & Validation: You will be responsible for setting up comprehensive baselines for the validation of policies related to Insider Risk and Workforce Security. This involves rigorous policy testing and efficacy analysis to ensure that security protocols are functioning as intended and providing maximum protection against internal threats.
- Workforce & Identity Intelligence: A significant portion of this role involves Workday correlation. You will build and manage data pipelines to ingest employee lifecycle events—such as onboarding, internal transfers, and resignations—and correlate these events with security signals to identify potential risks.
- Non-Human Identity (NHI) Management: You will develop a sophisticated risk-scoring framework for Service Accounts, Bots, and API Keys. This includes identifying ‘Orphaned’ accounts and detecting anomalous NHI behavior across AWS environments, GitHub repositories, and enterprise Datalakes.
- Privileged Access Monitoring: To enhance security oversight, you will create dedicated views for Admin and Super-user activity. Your focus will be on ‘Privileged Elevation’ events and monitoring for any unauthorized access to sensitive codebases or critical infrastructure.
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) & GenAI Governance: As organizations adopt AI, you will play a crucial role in GenAI Risk Insights. This involves ingesting telemetry from GenAI monitoring tools to identify workforce usage of unauthorized 3rd-party LLMs and instances where PII or sensitive code is pasted into AI prompts.
- Enterprise Risk Visualization: You will lead the development and maintenance of a ‘Single Pane of Glass’ dashboard. This unified visualization tool will aggregate various security signals into a business-unit-level risk score, providing leadership with a clear view of the organization’s risk posture.
- Persona-Based Reporting: Recognizing that different stakeholders have different needs, you will create tailored dashboards for various personas, ensuring that technical teams, security officers, and executive leadership all have access to the specific data they require for decision-making.
Required Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Quicksight for enterprise-level dashboarding.
- Proven track record in ETL development and Data Engineering, specifically in building robust data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of AWS core services and cloud architecture.
- Experience in security analytics, specifically within the domains of Insider Risk or Identity Access Management (IAM).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
