Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Data Architect with specialized expertise in the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem to lead our enterprise data modernization initiatives. As organizations increasingly move toward unified data platforms, your role will be critical in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable architectures that leverage OneLake, Lakehouse, and advanced analytics workloads. This position is based in Teaneck, NJ, with remote flexibility, but requires a local presence for strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

- Develop and govern advanced data models, including dimensional, semantic, and analytical layers, to support diverse business intelligence needs.
- Optimize data pipelines, Spark jobs, and SQL queries to ensure maximum performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency within the Azure/Fabric environment.
- Establish and enforce data quality, security, and governance best practices across the entire data lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with data engineering, BI developers, and executive stakeholders to deliver reliable, actionable analytics.
- Architect semantic models in Power BI that integrate seamlessly with Fabric’s unified storage.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members on modern data architecture principles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core components (Synapse Data Engineering, Data Factory, Real-Time Analytics).
- Proven track record in advanced data modeling and enterprise-level architecture design.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully executing legacy-to-cloud data migrations.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
- Deep understanding of Power BI semantic models and complex analytics workloads.
- Solid grasp of cloud security frameworks and enterprise data governance standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Why This Role?
In 2026, the data landscape is defined by unification and speed. By joining our team as a Microsoft Fabric Expert, you will be at the forefront of the most significant shift in data engineering in a decade. We offer a competitive compensation package and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.
