Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for structured and semi-structured data across enterprise platforms.
- Architect and oversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines capable of handling massive data volumes from on-prem and cloud sources.
- Define and implement cloud-based data strategies using Azure, AWS, or GCP, focusing on data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse architectures.
- Establish and enforce data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards through rigorous policies and best practices.
- Lead architecture and code reviews for data engineering implementations to ensure scalability and performance.
- Optimize the cost-efficiency and performance of data solutions through continuous monitoring and architectural refinement.
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical data solutions for diverse stakeholders.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data architecture across various programs and high-priority accounts.
Required Technical Expertise
- Extensive experience in Data Architecture and Data Integration Architecture within enterprise environments.
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT design patterns, and modern system architecture.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and the evolution of modern lakehouse patterns.
- Proven track record in optimizing large-scale data processing and performance for high-availability systems.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models to provide iterative value.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical roadmaps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specialized tools such as Snowflake, StreamSets, or advanced visualization platforms like Power BI and Tableau.
- Knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 or other enterprise-grade modeling methodologies.
- Background in highly regulated sectors such as Healthcare, BFSI, or Insurance.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices specifically tailored for data platform automation.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data-centric roles with significant architecture exposure.
