Job Description:

Responsible for leading the discovery, architecture, and data modelling efforts for a scalable, cloud-native data platform. Oversees end-to-end architecture, CDC design, and ensures alignment with enterprise data strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data architectures, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Design and implement Data Lakehouse architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with ER modeling, normalization, and dimensional modeling techniques.
  • Work with large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets, including JSON.
  • Implement and manage Change Data Capture (CDC) and Data Lineage frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and metadata management best practices.
  • Utilize AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, IAM, and KMS.
  • Employ tools like Lucidchart, dbt, ER/Studio, and SQL Developer.
  • Implement and manage Dev/DataOps workflows using Git and GitLab.
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams using tools like Lucidchart and Draw.io.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with cloud-native data architecture, preferably AWS.
  • Proficiency in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modelling.
  • Experience with Data Lakehouse architecture and design.
  • Hands-on experience with ER modelling, normalization, and dimensional modelling.
  • Experience with large-scale structured & semi-structured datasets (e.g., JSON).
  • Familiarity with CDC (Change Data Capture) and Data Lineage frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
