Job Description: Data Engineer

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Data Engineer with extensive experience in Azure Data Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions, ensuring data accuracy, security, and consistency. This role requires a strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and solutions using Azure Stack, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Pyspark, Azure Databricks, and Lakehouse architectures.
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail to guarantee data security, accuracy, and consistency across all data operations.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence and analytical requirements.
  • Leverage Pyspark for data processing and transformation within the Azure Fabric environment.
  • Implement and manage ETL processes, optimizing for performance and reliability.
  • Work with T-SQL for database operations and data manipulation.
  • Utilize Azure Fabric components for data warehousing and analytics.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and project delivery.
  • Explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Ensure data architecture and management practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain data quality frameworks and monitoring systems.
  • Explore and implement new features and technologies within the Microsoft Azure stack, particularly focusing on Fabric.
  • Secondary skills in Cosmos, Scope, Kusto, and KQL are beneficial.
  • Articulate data understanding through data modeling, DAX, and Power BI reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Azure Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong portfolio of successfully implemented data solutions using Azure Stack (T-SQL, ADF, Pyspark, Lakehouse, DW, AML in Azure Fabric Environment).
  • In-depth knowledge of ETL processes, ADF, Pyspark, OneLake, Databricks, and the latest features in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

  • Financial domain knowledge.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year
