Role Overview
Agile Enterprise Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a specialized focus on the Healthcare domain and FHIR standards. This remote position is critical for optimizing data extraction scripts and building robust ETL pipelines that support large-scale healthcare clients. As we move into 2026, the demand for interoperable healthcare data has never been higher, and this role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge cloud technology and vital patient data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize the performance of complex data extract scripts to ensure high-speed processing of healthcare datasets.
- Build and manage efficient ETL pipelines using Databricks workflows and other modern orchestration frameworks.
- Perform deep data analysis and data mapping required to produce accurate client outputs in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Work closely with implementation teams and clients to understand specific data distribution requirements.
- Develop and maintain data distribution extracts and scripts using Python and SQL.
- Manage both structured and semi-structured data ingestion processes using PySpark.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and script optimization.
- Extensive experience with Spark SQL and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS fundamental services, specifically S3 and SQS.
- Expertise in Databricks and Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and version control via GitLab CI/CD.
- Mandatory experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards.
- Proven track record working for cloud-based data services providers serving large healthcare organizations.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
