Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with extensive experience in Retail and Trade Management processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and trade operations. This role requires strong expertise in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms, with a focus on integrating data from various retail systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Work with large datasets from retail and trade management systems.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including POS, ERP, and supply chain systems.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand retail analytics requirements.
  • Build and optimize data models for reporting and analytics.
  • Support trade promotion management (TPM) and trade spend analytics.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Strong experience in SQL, Python, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of retail domain (POS data, inventory, pricing, promotions).
  • Experience in Trade Management / Trade Promotion systems (TPM/TPO).
  • Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with tools like Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
