Role Overview: Senior Data Engineer (Azure & Power Automate)
VBeyond Corporation is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to spearhead the development of end-to-end data solutions for our client’s automotive and fleet management platforms. This role is pivotal in modernizing data infrastructure and driving operational efficiency through advanced automation and analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust Azure pipelines, sophisticated Snowflake data warehousing solutions, and Python-based automation frameworks. Furthermore, you will bridge the gap between data engineering and business process automation by implementing Power Automate workflows and Power BI analytics.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain hybrid data pipelines utilizing the full Azure stack, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, and Databricks. You will manage data movement across ADLS Gen2 and integrate with real-time streaming services like Kafka or Event Hubs.
- Snowflake Architecture: Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, including star schemas, materialized views, and streams/tasks. Leverage Snowpark Python UDFs to handle complex data transformations directly within the Snowflake environment.
- Automation & Orchestration: Build custom Python automation scripts for data quality validation, API orchestration, and ETL processes. Implement enterprise-level Power Automate flows to automate workflows across Service Bus, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and various vendor APIs.
- Analytics & Visualization: Create comprehensive Power BI semantic models and DAX measures. Develop paginated reports integrated with Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high performance and strict adherence to row-level security (RLS) protocols.
- Governance & Quality: Deploy Python-based data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions. Integrate these solutions with Snowflake streams and Azure Purview to ensure data lineage, security, and compliance across the enterprise.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering with a focus on cloud-scale environments.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowpark and advanced performance tuning.
- 3+ years of experience developing complex workflows in Power BI and Power Automate.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (Pandas, Airflow, dbt) for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong background in Azure Data platforms (ADLS Gen2, Service Bus, Synapse).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
Candidates holding Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core/Advanced) or the Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) credential will be given preference. Experience with Python ML libraries (scikit-learn) and implementing DevSecOps practices within Azure environments is highly desirable. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can navigate complex data landscapes and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions for the automotive industry.
