Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in AI and Kubernetes to join our team for a 12-month contract position in Columbus, OH. This role requires an onsite presence and is open to US Citizens only. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Apache Spark, AWS services, and data modeling, with a preference for experience in workflow orchestration and containerization technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark preferred).
- Solid experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Lambda.
- Experience with SQL and relational/non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL frameworks.
- Experience working with large-scale, distributed data systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred/Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of Kafka, Kinesis, or streaming data platforms.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Delta Lake, Iceberg, or HuD.
Job Description Details
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This includes developing ETL processes, optimizing data storage and retrieval, and ensuring data quality and integrity. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver robust data solutions. Experience with AI-related data processing and leveraging Kubernetes for deployment and management of data services is highly desirable.

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
