About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining robust data governance policies and procedures within the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance, with a strong understanding of data management best practices. This is a hybrid role based in Quincy, MA, and requires candidates to be local to MA, CT, NH, or RI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Establish and manage a data governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Define data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
  • Oversee data cataloging, data lineage, and metadata management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, and legal teams to align data governance strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Develop and deliver data governance training and awareness programs to employees.
  • Manage data-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data governance professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Governance Lead or in a similar data management role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data cataloging and metadata management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
