Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary Data Migration Strategy Lead to spearhead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale data migration initiatives within a complex, multi-vendor enterprise environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition of critical business data across various platforms, including Workday, Bullhorn, and Snowflake. As the lead strategist, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Horizon Data Playbook, a comprehensive guide that synthesizes strategies, plans, and interdependencies across all data workstreams. This position offers a remote option, though priority will be given to candidates located in or willing to relocate to Tampa, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Horizon Data Playbook, aggregating strategies and plans across workstreams such as Bullhorn, Workday, CRM, and reporting.
- Identify and bridge silos between different vendors, workstreams, and business leaders to uncover cross-team dependencies and sequencing gaps.
- Establish and maintain a single source of truth for data-related scope, ownership, and status, ensuring alignment with Horizon Wave 2 and Helios Phase 1 milestones.
- Lead decision-making processes by developing concise, insight-driven materials for executive leadership that clarify status, trade-offs, and risks.
- Work closely with data owners and engineers to ensure alignment between Workday (Helios), Bullhorn, HubSpot, and enterprise data architecture.
- Monitor and surface risks related to data quality, sequencing, or compliance early in the project lifecycle, ensuring mitigations are well-documented.
- Contribute to program-level reporting and CRAIDD updates by providing synthesized data-related insights for executive review.
- Ensure go-live readiness by confirming that all data activities—mapping, migration, validation, archiving, and compliance—are advancing according to priorities.
- Partner with delivery teams to validate that all data migration steps meet SOX compliance and other regulatory standards.
- Influence technical SMEs and facilitators through collaboration and strategic insight rather than direct authority.
Technical Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience in data integration and migration within large enterprise environments or multi-vendor programs.
- Deep familiarity with ecosystems such as Workday, Bullhorn, Snowflake, and HubSpot.
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance (including SOX), and validation within complex operational systems.
- Exceptional ability to translate highly technical information into concise, actionable insights for non-technical leadership.
- Skilled at connecting dots across fragmented data and technology environments to create a unified strategic view.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with multiple shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
Strategic Impact
As the Data Migration Strategy Lead, your work will directly influence the success of our enterprise-wide digital transformation. By creating a unified view of the data landscape and proactively managing risks, you will ensure that our migration efforts are not only successful but also sustainable and compliant. This role requires a blend of technical depth and strategic foresight, making it an ideal opportunity for a leader who thrives on solving complex data puzzles and driving organizational clarity.
Special Requirements
