Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in enterprise data modeling and Snowflake data warehouse environments. The role focuses on designing scalable data models, optimizing data structures, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the mortgage domain or MISMO standards, along with strong SQL and data architecture skills. This is a contract opportunity with one of our direct clients, requiring onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Build and optimize data models for Snowflake data warehouse environments.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation and validation.
- Work with semi-structured data including JSON for ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data models.
- Implement best practices for data modeling, naming conventions, and documentation.
- Optimize data structures for performance, scalability, and accessibility.
- Maintain data lineage, metadata, and documentation for enterprise datasets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in data modeling and database design.
- Mandatory Experience: Experience working in mortgage domain or with MISMO standards is mandatory.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
- Experience with data modeling techniques including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema.
- Experience working with JSON and semi-structured data.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and enterprise data modeling principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in enterprise data platforms and analytics environments.
- Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management tools.
- Experience in financial services or mortgage industry projects.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $55 – $70 per year (Estimated)
