Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Expert IT Specialist (QA) with strong expertise in data engineering, financial data validation, and data quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building data workflows, automating reporting processes, and ensuring high-quality financial data for Insurance and Technology divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate complex insurance business requirements into technical specifications for data pipelines and workflows
- Design, build, and maintain data warehousing workflows and pipelines using SQL and cloud-based tools
- Compile, compute, and validate financial and insurance data using advanced statistical methods
- Convert high-level business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and system use cases
- Perform data profiling, generate exception reports, and manage metadata and data lineage
- Automate data ingestion and reporting processes using Python, R, or VBA
- Query and analyze complex datasets to support business decision-making
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years (84+ months) of relevant industry experience
- Strong expertise in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Governance, or Data Quality Assurance
- Advanced experience with SQL and RDBMS, including complex query development
- Proven experience in financial data validation and statistical analysis
- Hands-on experience in building data pipelines and workflows
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in data workflow and pipeline development
- 3+ years of experience in automation using Python, R, or VBA
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- 2+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred)
- 1+ year of experience with data governance tools (Informatica, Collibra, Alation)
- Experience in metadata management and data lineage tracking
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field
