Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Developer for a long-term, remote engagement specifically targeting residents of Wisconsin. This career-development level position is central to our 2026 data strategy, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale data warehouse initiatives. The successful candidate will navigate the intersection of traditional relational databases and modern cloud-based data management platforms, ensuring that our data infrastructure remains robust, secure, and highly performant. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse IT teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain relational databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) to support complex data storage and mining operations.
  • Drive the full ETL lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and metadata management using the Informatica tool suite.
  • Develop detailed ETL mapping specifications to facilitate the seamless loading of diverse data sets into the warehouse.
  • Implement advanced dimensional modeling techniques, including the management of slowly changing dimensions (SCD) and Kimball methodology.
  • Conduct rigorous performance tuning and optimization to ensure warehouse systems meet stringent latency and throughput requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT technical teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
  • Ensure strict compliance with State of Wisconsin privacy regulations and data security standards throughout the development process.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect logs.
  • Follow SDLC best practices and development life cycle processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Technical Skill Set

Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in data warehousing process design and ETL development. Mastery of Informatica PowerCenter is required, with at least 2 years of experience in IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud) being a significant advantage for this 2026-era role. Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and management is essential, alongside a working knowledge of BI tools such as Business Objects or Tableau. Experience with DB2 and Oracle database environments is also a prerequisite for this role. Knowledge of performance measures and reporting design is highly valued.

Experience & Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is expected. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technical staff. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of implementing large, complicated models and processes within a structured SDLC environment. This is a W2-only position, and candidates must be local to Wisconsin to comply with specific project mandates and state-level regulatory requirements.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $105,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
