Job Description: Database Administrator (AWS Aurora DB, MySQL)

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with a strong background in AWS Aurora DB and MySQL to join our team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in migrating databases from on-premises environments to the cloud and a solid understanding of version control deployment and database performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain AWS Aurora DB and MySQL databases.
  • Perform data migration from on-premises environments to AWS cloud.
  • Implement and manage version control for database deployments.
  • Optimize database performance through tuning and monitoring.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all databases.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Adhere to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
  • Oversee and contribute to both front-end interfaces and back-end services related to database operations.
  • Provide technological expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand and implement database requirements.
  • Manage and maintain database backups and recovery processes.
  • Monitor database health and performance, implementing proactive measures to prevent issues.

Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Proven experience in data migration from On-premises to Cloud environments.
  • Good understanding of Version control deployment and DB performance tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS Aurora DB and MySQL.

Desirable Skills:

  • Good Knowledge in Java Development.

Experience Required:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
