Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Oracle environments to join our team. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week onsite in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, performance tuning, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Perform PL/SQL development, including writing stored procedures and optimizing queries for performance.
- Tune database performance by analyzing SQL execution plans, optimizing indexes, and identifying bottlenecks.
- Manage database architecture, including SGA, PGA, datafiles, logs, tablespaces, and schemas.
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle database software.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard for disaster recovery.
- Configure and manage Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) for high availability and clustering.
- Write shell scripts for automation of database tasks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design and implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Technical Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in a DBA role, specifically within an Oracle environment.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL for performance tuning, database optimization, and writing stored procedures.
- Solid understanding of database architecture, including SGA, PGA, datafiles, logs, tablespaces, schemas, and data dictionary views.
- Experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
- Experience in installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of Oracle databases.
- Expertise in performance tuning, including SQL tuning, optimizing indexes, and analyzing execution plans.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery tools like RMAN (Recovery Manager) and Data Guard for disaster recovery.
- Experience with Oracle RAC for clustering.
- Proficiency in writing shell scripts and PL/SQL for stored procedures and automation.
- Familiarity with procedural languages.
- Must be local to San Diego, CA, or willing to commute 2x per week.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
