Role Overview: Datawarehouse Architect
United Software Group Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Datawarehouse Architect for a long-term engagement in Oaks, PA. This hybrid role requires a professional who can blend deep technical expertise with business acumen to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade data warehousing solutions. As a senior member of the data engineering team, you will be responsible for the structural integrity and performance of our data ecosystems, ensuring that stakeholders have access to high-quality, actionable data for critical decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive data warehouse architectures that align with evolving business requirements and long-term scalability goals.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated data models and schemas, focusing on efficient storage, retrieval, and data integrity across multiple platforms.
- Lead the design of robust Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to streamline data movement from disparate sources into the centralized warehouse.
- Optimize data warehouse performance through advanced tuning, indexing strategies, and architectural refinements to handle increasing data volumes.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure all solutions comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
- Implement and manage rigorous data security protocols to protect sensitive information and maintain the confidentiality of corporate data assets.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating complex requirements into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data quality, system performance, and integration failures in a timely manner.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Data Modeling and Datawarehouse Design.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and scripting languages, specifically Python, for data manipulation and automation.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with industry-leading ETL technologies and frameworks.
- Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience with Snowflake cloud data platform technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
- Strong understanding of database administration principles and solution architecture.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required.
- Advanced certifications in Data Warehousing (e.g., Snowflake Pro, AWS Certified Data Engineer) are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on operational excellence.
Special Requirements
Hybrid (3 days onsite per week); Local candidates only.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
