Job Description:
The Delphi multi-tiered Desktop Application Developer supports the client’s mission by developing quality software within a structured and mature software development life-cycle environment, preferably Agile. This role works closely with customers, Functional Analysts, SQA teams, and other developers to deliver efficient and effective software solutions. The candidate will be involved in all phases of application development including analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications.
- Perform defect resolution, issue tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Develop new functionality and enhance existing applications.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, and build planning.
- Collaborate with Delphi and Mumps developers for integration and development activities.
- Utilize Jira to track progress and update work status.
- Analyze, design, and maintain system applications aligned with business requirements.
- Convert legacy Delphi 7 applications to 64-bit Delphi XE8 environments.
- Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and resolution of memory leaks.
- Develop and maintain Pension and Retirement applications using Delphi, COBOL, MS SQL, and Btrieve.
- Work with relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server.
- Follow coding standards, version control, and documentation practices.
Essential Skills:
- Strong expertise in Delphi development.
- Experience in technical analysis and documentation.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, scalability, and memory management.
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of COM, ODBC, OOP concepts, and XML.
- Experience in Client-Server application development and libraries.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational database development.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Interbase and SQL Server integration.
- Exposure to COBOL and legacy systems modernization.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary: $61 – $81 per year (Estimated)
