Job Description: Desktop Support Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join our global IT team. This role is crucial for maintaining our extensive computer infrastructure, which supports approximately 8000 PCs worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for onboarding new computers, ensuring hardware security, and troubleshooting technical issues, including data flows for scientific instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining the existing computer infrastructure of 8000 PCs globally.
- Image and onboard new computers into the domain and onto the network.
- Secure and protect new and existing hardware.
- Troubleshoot and implement data flows for scientific instruments.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on computer systems.
- Document technical procedures and solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role.
- Experience with imaging and deploying operating systems (e.g., Windows).
- Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hardware security best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting issues related to scientific instruments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- This is an onsite role in Collegeville, PA.
- The role involves supporting a large global PC infrastructure.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $25 – $35 per year (Estimated)
