Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) administration. The role requires deep expertise in GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have excellent scripting, API integration, and automation skills, along with experience in Kubernetes and cloud environments.

  • Must have experience working with builds and deployments of various programming languages like Java, NodeJS, Python. Nice to have experience with dot Net & Go source code.
  • Must have experience with GitHub Actions and GitHub Enterprise Administration.
  • Experience working with Self-hosted runners on GitHub Enterprise.
  • Must have experience with creation of GitHub Apps at the enterprise level.
  • Must have experience working with enterprise standard GitHub workflows & Re-usable workflows.
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java for automation tasks using any language.
  • Experience working with GitHub Advance Security Tooling (GHAS).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the enterprise Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including domain knowledge in one or more of the following.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Manage and maintain GitHub Actions, including self-hosted runners, autoscaling, secure execution environments, and workflow orchestration.
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters using tools such as kubectl, Rancher & Helm.
  • Administer, maintain, and monitor the Kubernetes clusters and hardware infrastructure.
  • Design and manage the Kubernetes cluster layout, resources, and storage.
  • Monitor and optimize Kubernetes resources, such as pods, nodes, and namespaces.
  • Overall 7+ years of experience in GHES administration, with deep expertise in GitHub Actions, self-hosted runners, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong scripting, API integration, and automation skills (GitHub REST/GraphQL APIs, GitHub CLI, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with GHES upgrade planning, disaster recovery, replication, and internal service optimizations.
  • Cloud expertise (GH Cloud, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps security best practices.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $65 – $85 per year (Estimated)
