Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud platforms, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security, and observability. This role involves building and maintaining scalable and reliable systems, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days onsite in either Jersey City, NJ, or New York. The contract duration is 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Deploy and manage applications on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Work extensively with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions including Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk, and Datadog.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and overall reliability of the systems.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and automate repetitive processes to improve efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Expertise in containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and observability tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with specific cloud services relevant to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with various monitoring and logging frameworks.
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment.
