Job Description: DevOps – Octopus Deployment Engineers
We are seeking experienced DevOps Engineers with a strong background in Octopus Deploy to join our client, American Express, in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Octopus Deploy.
- Automate software deployment processes across various environments.
- Administer and maintain Octopus Deploy instances.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues.
- Work with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
- Manage and administer Linux servers and shell scripting.
- Utilize a variety of DevOps and collaboration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Slack, Confluence, and Jira.
- Experience with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of production systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience with software development using Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Linux server administration and shell scripting.
- Deep hands-on experience in using and administrating Octopus Deploy.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster setup using operators, HELM charts, and similar automation tools and frameworks.
- Work experience on multiple DevOps and collaboration tools including Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Slack, Confluence, Jira.
- Good communication skills and a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Crucially, candidates must have previous experience working at American Express. Offers will be released smoothly for candidates with this background.
