Role Overview
Absolute IT is currently seeking a visionary and highly technical Digital Solutions Architect to lead the digital transformation initiatives for our client, AAA. This role is designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of front-end technology, Content Management Systems (CMS), and Marketing Technology (Martech). As the primary architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that all digital channel initiatives are technically sound, scalable, and strategically aligned with the organization’s long-term goals. This position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with 2-3 days per week spent on-site at corporate offices in Wilmington, DE, Cincinnati, OH, or Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead architect and solution designer for the digital channel, taking full ownership of the technical roadmap and architectural integrity.
- Own the end-to-end solution design process, including the creation of detailed process flows, system integrations, service interactions, and data contracts.
- Translate complex business requirements and User Experience (UX) goals into build-ready technical designs that can be seamlessly executed by engineering teams.
- Make high-level platform and architecture decisions across the digital customer experience stack, covering frameworks, personalization engines, identity management, and analytics.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to validate technical feasibility and maintain solution integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain a library of reusable design patterns and technical documentation to ensure consistency across the enterprise and prevent technical debt.
- Lead technical integrations with third-party systems and vendor APIs, including chatbots, scheduling tools, and advanced personalization engines.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging Martech and AI/GenAI technologies to enhance automation and customer-centric personalization.
- Maintain comprehensive architecture diagrams and documentation within GitHub repositories, ensuring full alignment with modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure all designs align with corporate standards and escalate cross-domain decisions as necessary.
Technical Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in web application development and enterprise-level architecture is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and building modern digital platforms using React, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
- Extensive experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), with a strong preference for candidates with Sitecore expertise.
- Proven track record with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud hosting environments such as Vercel or equivalent platforms.
- Deep understanding of modern web and API architectures, with the ability to translate product goals into scalable technical designs.
- Experience in digital marketing or Martech environments, specifically with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and personalization strategies.
- Familiarity with AI/ML/GenAI tools and composable DXP architectures is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in producing clear architecture diagrams using tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, Figma, Miro, Confluence, Swagger, Postman, and GitHub.
- Solid understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG), SEO best practices, and performance optimization principles.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, QA, and Design departments.
- Hands-on technical leadership capabilities, including the ability to perform prototyping, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
- Ability to balance rapid innovation with practical, timely delivery in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
