Job Summary
Interas Labs is looking for an experienced Application Specialist – Drupal QA to join our team for a long-term engagement in Trenton, NJ. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of deep Drupal development expertise and a strong focus on Quality Assurance and Automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop, test, deploy, and enhance high-traffic Drupal websites. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in the web development space, with a specific mastery of the Drupal ecosystem and modern automation frameworks like Playwright.
Core Responsibilities
- Drupal Development: Lead site building, features development, and custom theming for Drupal 10 and 11 platforms.
- QA Automation: Design and implement a comprehensive strategy for site testing using the Playwright test automation framework.
- Architecture & Strategy: Analyze Drupal architecture to identify potential failure points and develop automated testing suites that ensure long-term stability.
- Frontend Customization: Develop and customize Drupal user interfaces, including theme development and the modification of community themes using TWIG, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Backend Engineering: Code and debug complex logic in PHP, utilizing advanced frameworks and workflows such as Symfony and Composer.
- DevOps Integration: Manage code repositories and deployment workflows using Git, GitHub Projects, and Acquia tools like Cloud IDE and Pipelines.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in iterative development environments, including Jira-based Agile and SCRUM ceremonies.
- Maintenance: Ensure all automated tests remain up to date with the latest code changes and security patches.
Required Skills & Experience
Candidates must have at least 10 years of professional experience with Drupal development, Playwright, and PHP. Specifically, we require 8 years of experience in Drupal site building, theming, and working within the Drupal 10/11 ecosystem (Git, Composer, TWIG). A minimum of 8 years of experience using the Playwright test automation framework is essential. You should have a deep understanding of Drupal architecture and the ability to develop robust testing strategies. Experience with advanced PHP frameworks like Symfony is required (6+ years). Preferred qualifications include an Acquia Drupal Developer Certification and familiarity with Acquia-specific tools such as BLT, DDEV, and Acquia Cloud. This role is hybrid and requires proximity to Trenton, NJ.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $80 – $105 per year (Estimated)
