Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Consultant for a critical 6-month contract engagement in Durham, NC. This role is pivotal for a major enterprise implementation where you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of D365 Finance modules. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of deep functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365, specifically focusing on financial operations, sales, procurement, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the gathering of complex business requirements from key stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.
- Perform comprehensive functional analysis to identify gaps between standard D365 features and business needs.
- Prepare detailed Business Process documents and solution design specifications.
- Manage customer requirements and Change Requests (CR) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Configure D365 Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash and Bank Management.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure custom developments align with functional requirements.
- Execute at least 5 successful full-lifecycle implementations from design through to post-go-live support.
- Utilize Lifecycle Services (LCS) and manage Independent Software Vendor (ISV) solutions effectively.
- Deliver end-to-end implementation projects including configuration, testing, training, and cutover activities.
- Demonstrate foundational consulting skills, including analytical know-how and excellent verbal/written communication.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O).
- Proven track record of at least 5 successful D365 implementations.
- Expertise in Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Inventory modules.
- Strong working knowledge of LCS, DevOps, and ERP implementation methodologies.
- Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 certifications are highly preferred.
- Ability to perform under minimal supervision in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Professional Skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills for interacting with C-level executives.
- Strong people management skills with experience mentoring junior consultants.
- Exceptional time management and the ability to handle shifting priorities.
- Degree-level education in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology.
Project Environment
This project involves working with a high-performing onsite engagement team. You will be expected to determine expectations and finalize deliverables while ensuring the highest quality of project delivery. The environment is collaborative but demands a high degree of individual accountability and technical precision. Candidates must be local to Durham, NC, or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract.

Salary: $60 – $60 per year
