Overview of the Eagle Pace Analyst Role

Key Responsibilities and Impact
As an Eagle Pace Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the organization’s financial data infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and optimizing Eagle PACE Importers, Exporters, data feeds, and intricate batch workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Thoroughly reviewing and meticulously documenting stored procedures, SQL/PLSQL logic, data validations, and transformation rules. This documentation will be crucial for both business and technical stakeholders.
- Mapping and documenting comprehensive data flows, including filters, business rules, and process logic, to provide clear insights into data lineage and transformations.
- Collaborating closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions related to financial data processing.
- Ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data through rigorous testing and validation procedures.
- Participating in the design and implementation of new data solutions and enhancements within the Eagle PACE ecosystem.
- Providing expert support and guidance on Eagle PACE functionalities to end-users and other technical teams.
- Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in financial data management and investment accounting.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of data governance and data quality initiatives.
- Working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate a strong blend of technical expertise and functional understanding:
- Eagle PACE Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with various Eagle PACE components, including but not limited to data loaders, reporting, and workflow management.
- SQL/PLSQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with a strong ability to debug complex stored procedures, write efficient queries, and perform performance tuning on large datasets.
- Database Experience: Practical experience working with enterprise-level databases such as Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- ETL Concepts: Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and methodologies, particularly as they apply to financial data.
- Data Management: Knowledge of data replication strategies, batch processing techniques, and high availability setups to ensure robust data operations.
- Financial Acumen: A good understanding of investment accounting principles, financial instruments, and market data. This includes familiarity with various asset classes and their data requirements.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex technical and business challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Documentation: Proven ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical and functional documentation.
