About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced EDI Programmer to join our team for a contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes, particularly within SAP environments. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless data exchange with trading partners and managing IDOC transmissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EDI mapping using IDOCs within SAP.
- Set up and manage trading partner configurations in SAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely transmission of IDOCs to OpenText (translator/VAN).
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to EDI processing and data flow.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize EDI processes.
- Maintain documentation for EDI configurations and processes.
Required Technical Skills:
- Expertise in SAP ECC6 Enhancement Pack 8.
- Strong experience with EDI mapping and IDOCs in SAP.
- Proficiency in setting up trading partner configurations.
- Understanding of data transmission protocols and VANs.
- Experience with OpenText or similar EDI translation software is a plus.
