Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Linux Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux development. The role requires strong expertise in the Yocto Project, BitBake recipes, layers, and cross-compilation. You will be responsible for Linux kernel internals, configuration, customization, and debugging, as well as writing or modifying Linux device drivers. Experience with embedded toolchains, build systems, version control (Git), and bootloaders (UBoot) is essential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6-8 years of handson experience in embedded Linux development.
- Strong expertise in the Yocto Project, BitBake recipes, layers, and crosscompilation.
- Solid understanding of Linux kernel internals, configuration, customization, and debugging.
- Experience writing or modifying Linux device drivers.
- Proficiency with embedded toolchains, build systems, and version control (Git).
- Experience with bootloaders (UBoot) and board bringup.
- Strong knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, GPIO, PCIe, USB, I2C, etc.).
- Fluent in C/C++ and scripting.
- Handson experience with ARMbased or similar embedded architectures.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Yocto-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of real-time patches (PREEMPT_RT).
- Familiarity with virtualization or container technologies (Docker, LXC) for embedded use.
- Exposure to security frameworks (SELinux, AppArmor).
- Understanding of OTA update frameworks (Mender, SWUpdate).
- Knowledge of networking stacks (TCP/IP, IPv6) and protocol debugging.

- Strong problemsolving and root-cause analysis ability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
