About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in C++ embedded development and WebKit internals. This is an onsite, long-term contract position located in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in this domain and a deep understanding of embedded browser technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain C++ embedded software for our client’s products.
- Work with WebKit internals, including QtWebKit and WPE.
- Implement and optimize HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript features within the embedded environment.
- Integrate and manage media/streaming pipelines, including H.264 and HTML5 video.
- Develop and maintain networking protocols and browser communication features.
- Utilize RDK frameworks such as Thunder, Firebolt, and WPE subsystems.
- Perform performance tuning and debugging of embedded browsers.
- Work with Linux and Yocto build systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in C++ embedded development.
- Extensive experience with WebKit internals (QtWebKit/WPE).
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of media/streaming pipelines (H.264, HTML5 video).
- Experience with networking protocols and browser communication features.
- Familiarity with RDK frameworks (Thunder, Firebolt, WPE subsystems).
- Proven ability in performance tuning and debugging of embedded browsers.
- Expertise in Linux and Yocto.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Information:
This is an onsite position requiring the candidate to work from our client’s facility in Philadelphia, PA. The role is for a long-term engagement. Candidates must have a strong desire to contribute to a dynamic team and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
