About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Embedded System Engineer to join our team for an onsite position in Danvers, MA. This role requires a strong background in embedded software design and development, with a focus on real-time operating systems and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components on QNX RTOS and Embedded Linux platforms.
  • Lead system-level design, module decomposition, and interface definitions for complex embedded systems.
  • Develop high-performance, multithreaded applications using C and C++.
  • Work with process scheduling, IPC mechanisms, synchronization, and memory management in real-time environments.
  • Perform board bring-up, BSP customization, and OS configuration.
  • Debug issues involving the kernel, drivers, IPC, and real-time behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, safety, and quality processes.
  • Review code, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate effectively with hardware, QA, system, and customer teams.
  • Support integration, system testing, and resolution of field issues.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • 9+ years of experience in embedded design and development.
  • Proficiency in C and C++.
  • Experience with QNX RTOS and Embedded Linux.
  • Strong understanding of system-level design, module decomposition, and interface definitions.
  • Experience with process scheduling, IPC mechanisms, synchronization, and memory management.
  • Familiarity with board bring-up, BSP customization, and OS configuration.
  • Skilled in debugging kernel, driver, IPC, and real-time issues.
  • Knowledge of coding standards, safety, and quality processes.
  • Mentoring and code review experience is a plus.
