Job Title: Enterprise Architect – P&C Insurance
We are looking for a seasoned Enterprise Architect with a strong background in P&C Insurance to join our client’s team. This is a long-term contract role, primarily remote with an EST time zone preference. The ideal candidate will provide architecture leadership, oversee solution architecture, and drive integration and data strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Leadership: Own target-state architecture, principles, guardrails, and decision governance (ADRs/decision log). Ensure alignment across application, data, integration, security, cloud, and DevOps.
- Solution Architecture Oversight: Review and approve key HLD/LLD for major workflows/epics, ensuring consistent patterns across PODs. Drive Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including performance, resiliency, security, and scalability. Establish baseline templates and reference implementations.
- Business & Domain Alignment: Translate Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) into architecture-relevant requirements and sequencing/dependencies. Support LLF/MVP shaping with Product Owners and functional leadership. Present tradeoffs and drive clear decisions with stakeholders.
- Integration & Data Strategy: Set API/integration patterns, versioning, contracts, system boundaries, and data ownership. Define data model evolution, migrations/versioning, and basic governance (audit/retention/privacy).
- Security & Risk Management: Define security architecture guardrails, threat modeling approach, and compliance considerations. Maintain an architecture risk register with mitigation plans and owners.
- Operational Excellence: Set CI/CD, environment strategy, and release/rollback patterns. Define observability standards (logs/metrics/traces), SLO thinking, and incident readiness.
- AI-First Enablement: Define how AI-assisted delivery fits into the SDLC without compromising quality, security, or traceability. Help standardize AI guardrails/templates and measurement (cycle time, rework, defect leakage).
- Stakeholder Management: Chair architecture working groups; align architects, tech leads, POs, QA, and DevOps. Mentor solution architects and senior engineers to raise architecture maturity. Communicate crisply: decisions, rationale, risks, and changes for teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture.
- Strong understanding of P&C Insurance domain.
- Expertise in architecture leadership, including principles, guardrails, and governance.
- Experience with application, data, integration, security, and cloud architectures.

- Knowledge of security architecture and risk management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and operational excellence practices.
- Experience with AI-first enablement and AI-assisted delivery is a plus.
